About Vidushi Ruchira Kedar

Ruchira Kedar is a distinguished Hindustani vocalist and a leading exponent of the Gwalior-Jaipur gharana. Trained under esteemed gurus like Padmashri Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar and Padma Vibhushan Vidushi Girija Devi, she excels in Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, and other classical and semi-classical forms. A recipient of prestigious honours such as the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar and the Saraswati Sadhana Samman, she holds a Ph.D. in music and a ‘Top’ Grade from All India Radio.

Ruchira has performed at renowned festivals across India and abroad, including Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav and Tansen Samaroh, and has released multiple acclaimed albums. She continues to enchant audiences with her emotive and skilful renditions while contributing to the preservation and evolution of Hindustani classical music.
